I want to thank all those who have and who are still serving our country.
There are a couple places thanking veterans by giving them meals or discounts on Veteran's Day.

All vets and active service members can choose one of six meals free on November 11, 2009 (beverages and gratuity not included) simple by showing proof of military service.
Accepted identification includes U.S Uniform Services ID card, U.S. Services Retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement, a photograph in uniform, wearing a uniform and a citation or commendation.

- Hy-Vee Store: Free breakfast during regular breakfast hours from 7am-11am
- Krispy Kreme: Free Donuts
- Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin' Onion and Drink
- Denny's: Free Grand Slam and some offering 20% discount off entire meal.
Offer expires 11/11/09. Free offer valid for active, in-active, reserved or retired military. Valid between 6am-2pm. No cash value. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Dine-in only. Valid military ID required. Only valid at participating restaurants in the Washington DC, Baltimore, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Richmond areas.

- Famous Dave's BBQ: is offering a free meal from their select menu for all active military and retired veterans with a military identification card on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11.
The restaurants have five Western Washington locations including Puyallup, Tacoma, Tukwila, Silverdale and Everett.
