Getting Your Car Ready For Winter!
- Make sure to have fresh wipers on and windshield fluid is full
- Check all Fluid levels
- Up to date oil change
- Check Anti-Freeze(This is supposed to be changed every 2 years)
- Snow Tires
- Mobile Phone and Car Charger
- Have your battery checked if more than 3 years old. They usually last 4 or 5 years.
- Blankets
- Candle, Strike Anywhere Matches in a water tight container. Empty Coffee Can( to help melt the snow to drink), couple cups
- SnowSuits
- Shovel
- Sand, Gravel or Cat Litter(to help if you get stuck)
- Emergency Flares and/or Hazard Triangles(Keep In Trunk)
- First Aid Kit
- Flashlight w/fresh batteries
- Extra Gloves and Ski Mask
- Non-Perishable Foods Like Nuts, Granola Bars, Crackers and Hard Candy
- Things for the kids to do like books, coloring books and crayons and their own flashlight.
- Radio w/fresh batteries
- Jumper Cables
- Ice Scraper
- Try to put most of these items in a duffle bag in the backseat of the car, in case you are unable to get into trunk or out of the car.
- Please stay in your car and be safe, someone will be by soon! You may risk getting hit by another vehicle. You will also stay protected from the elements too.
