Tuesday Tips Will Be Helpful Information For You And/Or Your Child
Trick Or Treating Tips:
- Don't go to strange neighborhoods
- Watch both ways before crossing streets
- Carry a flashlight, make sure there are fresh batteries.
- Wear light color clothing
- Wear light up necklace or something
- Always stay with friends-Never go alone
- Have your parents check your treats before you can eat them. Make sure to check candy and make sure there are no things your child is allergic to.
- Plan a route so parents know where their older kids will be at all times. Set a time for their return home. Make sure your children are old enough to go out on their own.
- Let your child know not to cut through back alleys and fields. Stay on well light areas
- Instruct your child not to go into people's houses or cars.
- Always walk, never run.
- Stay on sidewalks.
- Go to the bathroom before you start trick or treating.
- Make sure their costumes don't drag on the ground.
- Carry flexible knifes, swords, spears or wands in case your child trips.
- Wear comfortable shoes
- Visit houses that have lights on.
- Because one car stops, doesn't mean the others will
- Don't cut across people's lawn because there maybe things you can trip over or a hole to fall in.
- Don't pet animals you know or don't know
- Always be polite. Remember to say, "Thank You".
- Always carry a couple spear bags, in case one breaks and/or gets to heavy.
- Don't eat all those treats at once
- Make sure to clear your yard of things that children can trip over. Put a bucket or something over things that are in the ground like sprinklers so the kid's don't trip over.
- Try to put pets up if handing out treats.
- Make sure your yard is well-lighted
- Never leave a candle unattended
- Try using battery operated candles.
