Tuesday Tips!

Getting Your Car Ready For Winter!


  • Make sure to have fresh wipers on and windshield fluid is full
  • Check all Fluid levels
  • Up to date oil change
  • Check Anti-Freeze(This is supposed to be changed every 2 years)
  • Snow Tires 
  • Mobile Phone and Car Charger
  • Have your battery checked if more than 3 years old.  They usually last 4 or 5 years.
  • Blankets
  • Candle, Strike Anywhere Matches in a water tight container. Empty Coffee Can( to help melt the snow to drink), couple cups
  • SnowSuits
  • Shovel
  • Sand, Gravel or Cat Litter(to help if you get stuck)
  • Emergency Flares and/or Hazard Triangles(Keep In Trunk)
  • First Aid Kit
  • Flashlight w/fresh batteries
  • Extra Gloves and Ski Mask
  • Non-Perishable Foods Like Nuts, Granola Bars, Crackers and Hard Candy
  • Things for the kids to do like books, coloring books and crayons and their own flashlight.
  • Radio w/fresh batteries
  • Jumper Cables
  • Ice Scraper
  • Try to put most of these items in a duffle bag in the backseat of the car, in case you are unable to get into trunk or out of the car.
  • Please stay in your car and be safe, someone will be by soon! You may risk getting hit by another vehicle.  You will also stay protected from the elements too.
