Bake/Cook/Make Day Saturday!


Chili Snack Mix:

3 cups Premium Mini Saltine Crackers
1 can (11.5 oz.) Planters Mixed Nuts
3 Tbsp. Butter, Melted
1 tsp. Chili Powder
1/2 tsp. Ground Cumin
1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
Makes 5 cups 
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine crackers and nuts in large bowl.  Mix butter and seasonings.  Drizzle over cracker mixture, toss to coat.
  3. Spread onto bottom of foil-lined 15x10x1-inch pan.
  4. Bake 10 min. or until lightly toasted, stirring after 5 min. Cool.
  5. Makes 5 Cups or 20 servings.
For a burst of flavor, add 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper(cayenne) to cracker mixture along with the other seasonings.

Strawberry Peach Smoothie
1 ½ cups fat free vanilla yogurt
1 cup fat free vanilla ice cream
1 cup 1% milk
4 large strawberries
½ cup canned peaches
6 maraschino cherries
Chocolate Banana Smoothie
2 bananas
7 large strawberries
1 cup fat free vanilla yogurt
1 cup 1% milk
1 ½ cups chocolate syrup


  1. For either smoothie: In a blender or food processor, combine all of the ingredients. Cover and process until smooth. Pour into glasses; serve immediately.
