My favorite book growing up was Caps for Sale. It was about a pedler who sold cats and then monkeys took them off his head while he took a nap. My mom would make up motions for this book every time she read it to me. Still one of my favorites to read to my kids.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I don't have children yet, but I do work as a therapist with children and often use books and crafts as therapeutic tools. My favorite new children's book is And Tango Makes Three, to support children of GLBT parents. Non-work-related, I love Punk Farm :)

Fantastic giveaway! Thank you for the chance to win! My favorite children's book growing up was "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." Can I add another? I also loved "Make Way for Ducklings." I remember my parents reading them to me--a treasured memory.

My favorite book growing up was Blueberries For Sal because it takes place in New England, where I lived, and I also loved picking wild blueberries with my family.

My son's favorite book, and probably mine now too, is called The Very Kind Rich Lady and her One Hundred Dogs. It's soooo cute, and my son loves to read the names of all the dogs.

We love books at our house, and my oldest who just turned 5 is starting to read Dick and Jane books so those are our favorite (this week anyway).

My daughter loves to read.. thank goodness. Everything else is a struggle. Anyway, she loves I Love You Forever and The Giving Tree... though could be because they are put up out-of-reach from her little hands and are more appealing as a 'no-no'. I loved those books and these stories out of a collection of fairy tales, though I don't recall the name of the book. Thanks for the great info on your blog and for the giveaway!
