CANDYLAND

  • Learn Colors
  • Candyland Movies
  • Candyland Coloring Books found mine at Dollar General for $1
Foods
  • Gumdrops
  • Suckers
  • Neapolitan Ice Cream
  • Circus Peanuts
  • Gingerbread Boy and Girl Cookies
  • Nutter Butter Cookies
  • Licorice for Straw: Cut the ends of the licorice to make a straw.
  • Candy Cane
  • Molasses Cookies
  • Bubblegum Ice cream
  • Rainbow goldfish and vanilla wafers
  • Cheetos has Snowball Balls
  • Make cupcakes with your child and add sprinkles
  • Dipped in Chocolate: Pretzels, Strawberries, Marshmallows, Cookies : Have your child dip different foods into chocolate.
  • King-Sized Candyland Game: Construction Paper, Pictures of Places on Game
  1. Place pieces of construction on your floor and use painters tape to tape in place.
  2. Make sure to add the places into your game like Candyland does.
  3. Cut out the cards out of the paper or use cardstock (If you have the colors), that you need to play the game. The deck pile. Make sure to add the places in your deck too. MAke sure to have single and double squares.
  • Candy Crowns: Crowns(From Burger King, Candy(Smarties, Necco Wafers, Sprees), Glue, Paint
  1. Take a crown and paint it any color. Let dry.
  2. Then glue candy pieces onto the crown. Let dry
  • Candy Spray: Silly String - Dollar Tree has them for $1: Have a Candy String Fight.
  • Candy Necklaces: Fruit Loops, Gummy Holes, Life Savers, Licorice String, any other foods with holes
  1. Take a piece of licorice string and give it to your child. Have them string food onto the string.
  2. Then tie in a knot to form a necklace or bracelet.
  • Candy Canes: Red and White Pipe Cleaners
  1. Take and red and white pipe cleaner and twist them together to form a candy cane. Bend the top down.
  • Pin Sucker to Stick Game: Construction Paper, White Poster Board, Paint or Crayons, Tape, Blindfold
  1. Make a stick out of paper and tape to the door or wall.
  2. Make a big round circle for the sucker part. Have your child decorate their sucker. Place tape on back.
  3. Blindfold someone and have them try to place the sucker part onto the stick.
  • Candy Tic, Tac, Toe: Play tic, tac, toe with pieces of candy
  • Candy Checkers: Play Checkers with pieces of candy
  • Candyland Bingo: Play Candy instead of Bingo.
  • Skittles Taste Game: Skittles: Blindfold someone and have them guess what flavor
  • Read Story that comes with the Candyland game before playing the game.
  • Peanut Butter Play-doh: 18 oz. peanut butter, 6 Tbsps honey, non-fat dry milk, cocoa for flavor: Be very careful for peanut allergies.
  1. Add all ingredients together. Let your child help.
  2. Then place the playdoh in a bowl and lay down wax paper.
  3. Let your child have fun with their new playdoh
  4. Make sure there are no peanut allergies when making or playing with this.
  • Peanut Pup: Unshelled peanuts, Scissors, Ruler, Pipe Cleaner, Wooden Skewers or Thick Needle, Glue, Felt, Markers

  • Peanut Penguin: Unshelled peanuts, White and Black Paint, Orange Craft Foam, Paper Plates, Small Orange Pom Poms, Small Gogglie Eyes, Hot Glue Gun or Craft Glue Dots, Magnet Strips

  • Pinecone Bird Feeder: Pinecones, Peanut Butter, Bird Seeds, String
  1. Spread peanut butter onto pinecones and then roll them in bird seeds.
  2. Then tie a string onto pinecone and hang outside for the birds.
  • Peanut Toss: Cans or Containers, Shelled Peanuts, Paper
  1. Place cans or containers in front of your child.
  2. Add papers onto the cans or containers and add a point value to each one.
  3. Then have your child throw peanuts into the containers.
  4. They can keep track of score and see who gets the highest score.
  • Water-Colored Scented Paint: 2 Tablespoons of unsweetened cherry drink mix
  1. Add water and cherry drink mix together
  2. Your child now has nice smelling paint to use.
  • Scented Glue: 1/4 cup Glue and Kool-aid packets
  1. Mix glue to one packet of kool-aid. Mix well.
  2. Can use several different scents.
  3. Your child can use their new glue to put over stickers or whatever they wish to add a nice smell to it.
  • Freezer Paint: Ice Cube Tray, Tempera Paint, Plastic Wrap, Craft Stick
  1. Pour tempera paint into ice cube tray.
  2. Keep placing different colors on top of each other
  3. Place plastic wrap over the tray.
  4. Put craft stick in each one
  5. Let it freeze.
  6. Have your child have fun with their frozen paints. Make sure place in bowls if using different colors. They will melt.
  • Scented Paint: Tempera Paint, Extract(Orange, Strawberry, Lemon, Peppermint)
  1. Add a couple drops of extract to paint to make scented paint.

  • Peppermint Twist Kisses: 1/2 cup butter,softened; 1/3 cup sugar; 1 egg yolk; 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract; 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract; 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 4 to 8 drops red food coloring; 36 chocolate kisses
  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolk and extracts. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Divide dough in half; tint one portion red. Divide each into four portions. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Shape each portion into 9-in log. Place one red log next to one white log; twist gently to create one swirled roll. Roll gently until roll becomes one log. Repeat with remaining dough.
  3. Cut each log into nine slices; roll each into a ball. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly with a glass.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Press chocolate kisses into the center of warm cookies. Remove to wire racks to cool.
