Supplies Needed: Construction paper, Cardboard(cereal box or other), glue, black marker

  • Cut out 52 little squares  out of construction paper and glue on the cardboard.
  • Write an alphabet letter on each square. Two of each letter.
  • Then place the letters onto the floor and have your child make words with the letters.  You can place the letters onto a flat piece of cardboard .
  • If you want you can draw 3 squares onto the piece of cardboard.  Then place a letter in one of the squares and have your child make a word using that letter in the square.  For example if you place a o in the second square your child can make the words dog, hog, log.
  • If you want you can extend the 3 letter words to 4 letters.
  • You could also use scrabble pieces for this too.

  3. Glue the circles onto the rectangle in order of the stop light: Red, Yellow, Green.
